Provide support for payroll processing function. Provide Workday system and audit support to the Human Resources & Payroll Administration Departments, ensuring compliance with pre-employment policies and onboarding practices in support of the entire enterprise.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Payroll 50% estimated

  • Payroll Processing Support – Under the direction of the HRIS Manager, assist in the payroll processing function which may include pay input, mass submit hours, process retro pay, and arrears as determined by the HRIS Manager.
  • Continue to learn/train with the HRIS Manager to become educated in more advanced payroll functions.
  • OSV Vendor Management (Managed Payroll Service point of contact)
  • Liaison for Garnishments with OSV.
  • Ensure timely processing of Allocations as needed.
  • Bi-weekly 401k and HSA transmissions once payroll has processed.
  • Year-end work with OSV to process W2s and 1095c.
  • Timeclock Management – Troubleshoot timeclock issues, coordinate time clock repairs and new time clock orders from vendor.
  • Research various issues to include but not limited to employee payroll question/issues, absence, time, leave issues related to pay.
  • Complete various required DOL state-specific reporting and ensure reporting compliance.
  • Provide various payroll-related reports to people/departments as needed.
  • Provide pay data for various tax credits. (ex: GA work tax credit & Underutilization of Indian Employment Tax Credit in Oklahoma)
  • Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed

HRIS Support 30% estimated

  • Assist HRIS Manager in the 2x per year new release testing including documentation of test cases.
  • Ensure Change Management Documents are updated after new release testing is complete. This includes ensuring other departments have reviewed and updated other department-specific job aids. (ex: Recruiting, Accounting, Accounts Payable)
  • Assist HRIS Manager with other Workday Projects/Testing
  • Create/schedule various reports as requested by various departments/locations to meet the needs of the business. SME in Report Writing.
  • Identify opportunities for streamlined processes or automation by leveraging Workday modules.
  • Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed

Human Resources Support 20% estimated

  • Process invoices with allocations for various HR vendor invoices
  • Annual EEO-1 Reporting (EEOC) and CA SB 973 Reporting (CA Department of Fair Employment and Housing DFEH)
  • Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed

Education and/or Certifications

  • Associates/Bachelor’s Degree required, Information Technology or Human Resources preferred
  • Workday HCM/Reporting Certified preferred

Skills And Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience; HR/Payroll administration experience required; Workday experience preferred.
  • Tech Savvy with experience with HRIS systems, Workday preferred.
  • Solutions-oriented with strong critical thinking skills including innovation.
  • Always exhibit complete confidentiality
  • Advanced Excel skills, intermediate proficiency with other Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines
  • Ability to investigate and solve problems with minimal direction
  • Good judgment in the escalation process
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while prioritizing and adhering to strict deadlines
  • Strong time management skills
  • Quality minded; motivated to seek out errors and inquire when something appears inaccurate

  • Requires desk work in an office environment.
