Sr. HRIS Business Analyst (HCM) : Full-time

Title: Sr. HRIS Business Analyst (HCM)

Type: Full-time

Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days home)

Location: Houston, TX

Essential Job Duties:

  • Collaborate and consult with colleagues to understand business needs and assess scope, and complete projects across HCM
  • Work closely with end users, including employees and leadership, to prioritize and manage the completion of support tickets and enhancement requests, leverage business knowledge to identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Work closely with HR team members in supporting all Workday technical functions to facilitate effective business solutions and provide knowledge transfer of system functionality to Business Process Managers, Super Users, Subject Matter Experts, and end users
  • Maintain Workday security by maintaining a listing of Workday security definitions and granting security access to Workday following security protocols
  • Provide hands-on configuration of Workday business processes, security policies, and role assignments, and provide sound solutions through recommending efficient business process, security, role, and other system changes to support end-to-end business processes
  • Determine organizational needs for system upgrades and manage Workday releases; identify impact and enhancement opportunities associated with a new release, and communicate appropriately; help support regression testing and introduction of required changes as new Workday releases are introduced
  • Assist with and/or manage documentation, including user guides, training materials, and release notes
  • Lead and provide mentorship and guidance to HRIS Specialist to develop technical expertise
  • Research, identify, and troubleshoot business process errors; communicate resolution to process owners; maintain the integrity of business processes and organizational data through regular audit testing and validation
  • Other Duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human Resources or a closely related discipline
  • Minimum 5-7 years experience supporting Workday through design, configuration, and implementation in HCM
  • Experience and knowledge in Recruiting, Payroll, and Benefits preferred

Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of basic and advanced security configuration and delivered and custom organizations
  • Knowledge of, and ability to create, load, and troubleshoot EIBs, configure and modify business processes, configure and maintain performance reviews, build and modify custom Workday reports and calculated fields
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize multiple projects/tasks concurrently while meeting required deadlines
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly present complex business and technical topics to a wide array of audiences with and without Workday technical knowledge
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of human resources and employee lifecycle changes preferred
